Jennifer Pharr Davis is an American long distance hiker.[1] She currently holds the unofficial record for the fastest thru hike of the Appalachian Trail with a time of 46 days, 11 hours, and 20 minutes, set on July 31, 2011.[2][3][4]
Pharr Davis lives in Asheville, North Carolina.[3] She first hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2005 after graduating from Samford University.[2] In 2008, Pharr Davis set the record for the fastest Appalachian Trail hike by a woman.[2] Pharr Davis has written two hiking guidebooks about hiking in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, and a 2010 memoir, Becoming Odyssa.[3][5]
